Is it like Morrowind?
EverQuest is not like Morrowind, it is a Role Playing Game and you have a character who levels up and develops skills but as far as gameplay is concerned it is definately not Morrowind. Though it is true some of the elements are very similar to Daggerfall (Elder Scrolls 2, Morrowind is Elder Scrolls 3), especially the races, I wouldn't say it is enough to be an obvious influence.
Is it like World of Warcraft?
EverQuest is very similar to World of Warcraft, you level up by completing quests and defeating monsters, you can group up with other players in parties or raids and your characters power progresses noticably from both leveling up and items. The differences in my opinion are that World of Warcraft has a faster pace (particularly at lower levels), a far more sophisticated (and arguably more rewarding) quest system and makes it easier for casual players to get into. This has changed in recent times as EverQuest has made significant efforts to reduce downtime (time spent regenerating hitpoints and mana) when playing solo and in groups and added a large, indepth tutorial for new players.
